Review: Panasonic SR-DE103 5-Cup (Uncooked) Fuzzy Logic Rice Cooker

My family loves rice. In fact, we eat it with just about every meal. We also like different types of rice. It took me some time to learn that it is must easier to prepare a great meal consisting of rice in a rice cooker compared to trying to cook it on the stove. Then I decided to try a rice cooker and I found that it was very easy. The rice was actually much better. However, I found that it was not always possible to cook each and every type of rice in the cookers I had. Some were designed for white rice only. I did not want to spend money on a number of different cookers so I decided to pay for the Panasonic SR-DE103 cooker.

This cooker will quickly become a go to appliance in your home like it was in mind. You can use it for cakes, rice, and even oatmeal. I love it and use it every day. It also uses fuzzy logic technology so that the rice will always taste amazing. These are some of the reasons why I would give this cooker a 4 out of 5. The only reason I could not give it a 5 was because of the price. Given the fact that it only prepares 5 cups of rice, the price is a little higher than other cookers.

  • White chrome finish
  • Fuzzy logic cooking
  • Warming mode for 12 hours
  • 24 hour clock

  • Price
  • Rice may become hard on the bottom when cooking fast
  • May not be a good investment for those that do not eat a lot of rice

Rice cookers have a lot of benefits and this rice cooker can certainly make your
life easier. You will find that you are going to be able to multitask and spend time with your family while your rice is cooking. The finish is wonderful and it looks great on any counter. It does not take up a lot of space either. I love the fact that it will keep the rice warm until my family is ready to eat. It certainly gives us options other than fast food. The price is a little higher than I would have expected to pay but it was worth it in the end.

As previously mentioned, this is a best rice cooker if you are making different types of rice. My family loved the options and I loved the fact that I did not have to have more than one cooker. Clean up was easy and we have even been able to use it in the mornings for oatmeal. It has been a life saver in the mornings before work and school. You will find others on the market that will cook other types of rice but they are not going to use fuzzy logic technology. If you are interested in cooking healthy meals your family will love, and you like rice, this is the product for you.
